She slightly digs her toes in, softly moving across the plush carpet. Letting out a sigh of satisfaction, she sinks into her favorite velvet sofa, pulls up her cashmere throw, and reaches for her glass of bubbly. Gazing out the window to her verdant backyard, she hears the wind whisper and sees the leaves on the trees rustle, with tiny rays of the golden sun sparkling through. She is happy that her family has the home they were meant for.
Ah yes, moving over 19 times in my life has informed the collected interiors I design for my clients, and the vendors and makers I bring to your projects. When you've lived well in many different places, you have items you love to incorporate in your home. The home you were meant to have, to indulge all your senses, to luxuriate in.
Nature renews us, it’s ablaze with color, even during winter. Using color inside your spaces brings joy and happiness, and warmth. Being aware of Nature, it’s important to me that my client's homes are also filled with Sustainable and low VOC products.
There is a long line of service to the military, in our family, so our home and the homes of my aunts and uncles were filled with treasures from all over the world. And we moved around a lot, so I still have pieces that are important to me from these travels. Finally landed in McLean, Virginia just in time to for high school. Being aware of design from a very young age, I realized the best design is a timeless merging of fabrics, furniture, great art, and color –life experiences, adding the spice.
My family, Cockalier Pups, travel, and VGS, Chateauneuf du Pape, and Super Tuscan wines keep me happy, as do my best clients! On vacations, if it rains, you may find me working on a 3000+ piece puzzle. I’m a whiz at finding very quickly, the exact piece needed..
